DENNIS PAGE
News Anchor / Co-host, Christian News Weekly
Dennis Page joined the KCBI family in December 1996. Dennis moved to north Texas from North Louisiana after enjoying a 12 year career in radio and television broadcasting and production. One of his greatst privileges was to serve more than 8 years with a combat engineer battalion in the Louisiana Army National Guard.
Here's a brief profile of Dennis:
Birthdate: October 10 in Monroe, Louisiana
Family: Daughter, Jasmine and son, Elijah
Conversion experience: Accepted Christ at my sister's church, Lone Wa Missionary Baptist Church. It was after several of my accomplishments began to not measure up to my expectations. God was showing me that each time I hungered for something that was not a relationship with Jesus, I would come up empty. So, after doing TV and radio broadcasting simultaneously, hearing my voice and seeing my face over every broadcast station, it has little, if any meaning to me. I wanted to understand why I felt such an emptiness in my life.
Favorite scripture: II Timothy 2:15
Highlights in ministry: My ministry education and leadership at Oakcliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas
First job in radio/ministry: Radio - KYEA-FM; TV - KARD ABC; radio ministry - KCBI
Years at KCBI: Started in December, 1996
Most rewarding aspect of my current work: Seeing the practical impact of God's word and work through the various ministries at KCBI.
The way I relax: Spending time alone with God's Word and a journal, listening to jazz, taking a drive to rural areas.
Hobbies/collections: Outdoor grilling (Salmon and steak are my favorites), sports cabs (though I am not a fanatic about it)
Person(s) (past or present) I'd like to meet: The Apostle Paul
