JIM WILSON
"Morning Show" Host
Originally from Georgia, Jim has been living in the Dallas/Ft.Worth Metroplex since 2003. He began working at KCBI in the Fall of 2007 “filling-in” at various times. As the Host and Senior Producer of The Morning Show, he recognizes the great responsibility that has been thrust upon him in this role for such a time as this.
A few years ago he was the afternoon drive-time host on WJLT outside of Boston, MA. He was also the lead singer for the United States Air Force Band outside of St. Louis, MO and Boston, MA for over 6 years. He has had the privilege to perform before Presidents, Congressmen, Heads of State and recognized leaders from around the world but his heart has now planted him at The Community at Lakeridge where he also helps lead worship.
At the age of 8, he felt the call of God on his life to serve in ministry and in August of 2001, he was serving as the Worship Pastor for a church in Central Texas when his role in fulltime ministry came to a screeching halt. The results over the next few months found him going through a painful divorce and the end of his music ministry at that time. But, we truly do serve a God of second and third chances and even though Jim had made some mistakes, he still believed the words of the Apostle Paul which says “the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable” and almost 7 years to the day from the time he left fulltime ministry, the Lord opened up the door for him to minister again and this time for an even bigger audience than before.
Jim has served as the Worship Pastor for churches in Boston, MA., Greeley, CO. and Temple, TX., He is the proud father of four boys and two girls. He and his wife Betsy currently live in Grand Prairie.
