TERRI BARRETT
“Morning Show” Co-Host, Traffic Reporter
The good ones keep coming back. That's Terri's story. She returned to KCBI in April 1998 after a 2+ years absence. She keeps you out of traffic tie-ups every weekday morning from 6-8:30AM. Her infectious laugh is indicative of her joy that comes only from God Himself.
Here's a brief profile of Terri:
Birthdate: March 14th. I was supposed to be a Valentine baby!
Family: A great husband and three wonderful daughters: Cari, Mary, and Angela plus my new family: A lovely and sweet daughter, Quincy, and a very cool and handsome son, Case. I home-schooled three daughters for driver's ed and I'm still here to talk about it!
Conversion experience: Realized I needed a Savior at age 9 during a revival at First Baptist Church, Earlsboro, Oklahoma! My mother, two sisters, and brother had all been baptized there before me!
Favorite scripture: Too many to list! I've never had a question that wasn't answered in God's Word!
Work history: In radio for 34 years, started out at a commercial college radio station operated by Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma before working in Oklahoma City and then to Dallas-Fort Worth! I've worked for a variety of radio stations in the metroplex. My favorite, of course, is KCBI! I've worked in every area of radio: promotions, production, news, sales, and programming and I've loved it all!
Hobbies: Reading, theater, movies, baking, playing frisbee, riding bikes with my kids, camping.
