"Bongo Rod" Butler
Director of Children's Ministries and Host of The Coconut Hut Radio Show
“Kids are so, so, so, sooooo important,” says Rod, “Jesus wants them close to Him. He said that if we’re to be great, we need to be like children. God used a boy named David to take down a giant, winning a battle with a single stone. A little boy’s lunch became food for thousands. When the lamb lies down the lion—when God’s peaceful rule finally sweeps the globe—the Bible says a little child will be leading the way. Kids. They’re top priority. In God’s view of things, and of course right here at KCBI.”
The Coconut Hut Radio Show, formerly KidZone Radio, offers kids and families four hours of great music, games and prizes, Saturday mornings from 7 to 11:00AM. Paws and Tales airs at 7:00, followed by Adventures in Odyssey at 7:30, and then fun-filled, ministry-driven, kid-friendly radio from the Coconut Hut, with Bongo Rod and his Coconutty Friends, all the way up to 11:00AM. During the week, Adventures in Odyssey airs Monday through Friday, at 7:30PM. Find the show on the web at: www.coconuthutradioshow.com.
