It’s going to be a warm weekend coming up but it’s time to have fun with the family and celebrate all the Mom’s out there this Mother’s Day!

1. Fort Worth Spring Fair (Fort Worth Stockyards) – May 10th – May 13th

The Ft. Worth Spring Fair, May 10 – 13th, at the Ft. Worth Stockyards is a fun, family-friendly event for all ages!

Join us for great food, state fair carnival rides, a variety of animal entertainment attractions, including an exotic Petting Zoo and Pig Races! Also, for the thrill seekers when the spectacular rides aren’t enough- make sure to check out the Fearless Flores Thrill Show, as seen on Americas Got Talent, with death-defying stunts!

2. Shine Fest Worth Spring 2018 (Decatur) – Sat. May 12th – 5PM–9PM

The DFW Shine Fest is an amazing event where you can light a sky lantern with thousands of others. Check this night off your bucket list, write a message to a loved one, or send your hopes and dreams into the universe.

3. Scarborough Renaissance Festival (Scarborough Renaissance Festival Grounds – Waxahachie) – Until May. 28th

Step back in time at the Renaissance-themed festival set on 35 acres in the “village” of Scarborough. Visitors can join in the mirth and merriment, sights, sounds and tastes of the days of King Henry VIII. The 38th annual festival runs for 8 themed weekends, April 7 through May 28.

Visitors will encounter colorful characters such as knights, villagers, fire jugglers, jousters, sword fighters and turtle racers. Eat a giant turkey leg, buy a longbow or some jewelry at the shops, watch a village artisan at work, stop in the Elkhorn Tavern or Dirty Duck Pub, or simply take in the sights.

May 12-13: Celebrating Chivalry Weekend/Mother’s Day Brunch
May 19-20: Legends of the Sea
May 26-28: The Last Huzzah/Memorial Day Veterans Tribute

Admission is $24 online (until March 15), $28 at the gate. $12-$13 for ages 5-12. Free for ages 4 and younger.

4. Treat Mom Like Royalty This Mother’s Day (Reunion Tower – Dallas) – Sun. May 13th 10:30 AM – 9PM

This Mother’s Day put mom on the ultimate pedestal at the GeO-Deck! Show Mom how much she means on Mother’s Day by giving her the best view Dallas can offer. Make her “queen for the day” with a keepsake sparkly red rose and crown, and a free 5×7 photo to remember the day, all free with general admission.

5. Allen Arts Festival 2018 (Watters Creek) – Fri. May 11th – Sun. May 13th)

Allen Arts Festival always during the Mother’s Day weekend, will take place this year May 11-13. Free entry and free parking. Artists from around the country, live music and art activities for children will make this a fun event for the whole family.
