Joni Eareckson Tada Finds Joy In Suffering

By March 4, 2019 No Comments

Mrs. Joni Eareckson Tada, founder, and CEO of Joni and Friends International Disability Center in Agoura Hills, CA, encourages believers toward a deeper trust in the Lord as they recognize God’s sovereign design of the church, as it needs all parts, especially those that seem weaker.

My favorite quote that she said this morning was this:

“Why would God allow so much chronic pain? My quadriplegia? My cancer? And now this new more aggressive cancer? Well, simply, God is less interested in my physical well-being. He’s so much more interested in strengthening my soul and I love that . . . The really good stuff that comes out of suffering is that it supports your testimony. All of this supports my witness and convinces skeptics and unbelievers that God is really worth trusting.”
