I am undergoing testing for colon cancer after going to ER with some severe abdominal pain and a CT scan revealed a mass in my colon and lesions on my liver. I have already had a colonoscopy. They found the same thing in the colon and took some tissue to biopsy. On 6/17, I will have another CT scan and an MRI. By the end of the week, I am hoping we will have a diagnosis and treatment plan. I am 42 years old. I've never had any medical problems whatsoever. The occasional sinus infection is about it. I am a firefighter. I have a wife of 12 years and an 8 year old son. Although we have not received an official cancer diagnosis, all signs are pointing that way. Not to mention, it runs rampant on my mother's side of the family. I was prepared to get regular screenings at 45, which is early compared to the general population. I have since learned that I should have been getting screened in my late 20's as my mother was 39 when she passed. I believe in the Almighty. I believe he can work supernaturally. But, I also believe that he has prepared me for what might be ahead. I have all the hope in the world. And, I am not giving up, ever. I am writing this to hopefully enlist as much prayer for my family as I can get. I believe He hears our prayer. Thank you in advance.
