Prestonwood Christian Academy

Prestonwood Christian Academy (PCA) has become one of the strongest Christian education programs in the country providing intentional biblical worldview training and integration to children in preschool through 12th grade.  PCA places great value on the growth of students’ spiritual health in addition to their scholastic endeavors and co-curricular activities.

With two campuses and a virtual academy, PCA serves more than 1,600 students and partners with parents to ensure their children not only attain a rigorous education, but that they experience life through a Christian worldview.

There are approximately 6,750 days from birth of a child until high school graduation, and they may invest about 2,500 hours in church, including worship service and special events. However, the average child will spend 16,000-20,000 hours at school.  In his 16 years as PCA’s Head of School, Dr. Larry Taylor has shepherded the school’s Kingdom education program – the philosophy focused on bringing into partnership the home, church and school for the purpose of training the next generation.

In addition to PCA’s spiritual development plan, the school promotes a rigorous Liberal Arts academic program. PCA students are consistently recognized for scholastic achievements such as National Merit Scholar and AP Scholar Awards, and the school offers programs such as STEM Honors, Future Problem Solvers, Lions Scholar Program and AP courses. Offered $13.3 million in scholarships for achievement in scholastics, athletics and the arts, PCA’s class of 2015 graduates matriculated near and far to schools such as University of Pennsylvania, Pepperdine University, NYU, TCU, SMU, Baylor University, Texas A&M and Dallas Baptist University!

PCA Plano serves children from Pre-Kindergarten 3 through 12th grade. The campus is located at 6801 W. Park Blvd in Plano. PCA North serves students in Pre-Kindergarten 3 through 6th grade and is located at 1001 W. Prosper Trail in Prosper. PCA North opened the doors of its Prosper campus in 2014 with 50 students in Pre-Kindergarten 3 through 4th grade, but the demand for Christian education in the 380 Corridor has allowed the school double its enrollment, add 5th grade in 2015-16, add 6th grade in 2016-17, and announce plans to continue to grow each year.

PCA is currently accepting applications for the 2016-17 school year.  Interested families should visit www.prestonwoodchristian.org/admissions to set up a tour or attend a PCA Preview.
