And read on to learn how God will be using you that day!

First, thanks to all of you who joined us to help build homes for those who need them most with the Collin County, Denton County, Garland Area and Trinity Habitats for Humanity.  You made a huge impact! “I feel the love of God,” said new homeowner Juan Flores.  “We feel very happy to have something that is our own. We are so thankful for everybody who helped!”

Here’s another opportunity to get involved – KCBI’s Summer of Service Day on Sat., July 20.

Mission Arlington

Thousands of people in North Texas face hunger, heat, educational needs and homelessness. Every one of them also has spiritual needs.  Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex is addressing these needs 24/7, serving people and pointing them to Jesus.  “It’s about reaching every person for Christ,” said Founder Tillie Burgin.  “Anybody can hand out food.  Anybody can hand out clothes.  But we do it in Jesus’ Name.  Matthew 25:40 says, ‘When you’ve done it unto one of the least of these, you’ve done it unto Me.’” That’s where we’ll be in Tarrant County, sprucing up the campus, packing back-to-school backpacks and sorting food and clothing for distribution.

On Sat., July 20, from 7:30am-noon, you can help, and make an eternal impact.  It’s as simple as filling out the form below and coming that day to prepare school supplies, sort clothing or pray with a family.

Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls

Most of us take shoes for granted. But they are foundational to so many things, including building confidence as a child faces a new school year.  “We know that the first day of school, kids need to be built up in their confidence,” said Buckner International’s Ricardo Brambila.  “We know that having a new pair of shoes will help do that.  And that confidence is something you can never take away.” On the Dallas side, we’ll be at the Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls Warehouse, sorting and packing shoes so they can be given to children who desperately need them right here in DFW and around the world!

Join us and help KCBI wrap up its Summer of Service – making an eternal impact – one life at a time!

Buckner:  Hope Shines Here!

Thank you for sharing Christ’s love along with KCBI’s on air team – Jeff Taylor, Rebecca Carroll, Jay Allen and Lauree Austin – providing help for families in need – in DFW and around the world!
