Waxahachie Preparatory Academy

Waxahachie Preparatory Academy is a University-Model® school that partners with parents to prepare students for college. We use a college-style schedule of courses that lends itself to allow families to spend more time together. Parents partner with educators to help facilitate independent learners, and character is taught and emphasized in the classroom and encouraged at home.

WPA was founded in 2001 by two families who wanted the best of both worlds, a private Christian education and home education incorporated into one unique model. Since that time, WPA has grown from two families into over 100 families. The school has since been accredited by AdvancEd in 2012 and 2015. WPA is also a certified UMS school through the National Association of University-Model® schools since 2005.

WPA students are characterized by their unique God-given qualities. We hold dear to the Deuteronomy 6:6-7 scripture that allows parents the time to impart God’s wisdom on their hearts and minds while they walk along the road. We have a low student-teacher ratio (13-1), and this allows the teachers to know the students and therefore work well with the parents and students to help guide them along the way.

Our extra-curricular programs are well suited to the dynamics of each student and their giftings. With the Lady Warriors bringing home the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools Volleyball State Championship in 2015 and the boys bringing home the TAPPS Golf State Championship in 2016, they take pride in all they do both on and off the playing field.

Our mission at Waxahachie Preparatory Academy is to partner with parents to prepare students for college through exceptional academics, quality extra-curricular activities, and purposeful development of Christ-like character.
